This book could have benefited from proof reading and editing. Besides the obvious grammatical and other errors contained within it, the story jumped back and forth constantly, which was confusing. The author did a good job of weaving in historical events and background in her novel, helping to make it more realistic. I had a difficult time sorting out the many characters, especially throughout the flashbacks every other chapter or so. Still, it was an interesting story. I really liked this story about how the Irish moved to the west. Also about how the Indians were mistreated. Was so interesting I couldn't put it down.
